Singles on the Green is an exciting, semi-monthly, new social organization committed to helping singles (Single, never married, separated, divorced or widowed) meet in a relaxed environment. All participants are over 21 years of age, and every effort will be made to have an equal number of men and women. There are two tournaments held each month on the 1st and 3rd Saturday afternoons. The 1st tournament will be for those individuals who are between 21 and 35 years of age. The 2nd tournament will be for those individuals over 35. The purpose of having two different events based upon age is to allow people an opportunity to meet with others who are of the same approximate age. Note: A few years either way is just fine.

The primary emphasis of the golf and social event is to have an enjoyable experience interacting with people who share a common interest – playing golf! The golf format will be “best ball,” so there is no need to be an avid golfer. We anticipate the participants will be as interested in meeting new people as they are on their team score.

Tournament Format

The format is based upon a nine-hole “Shot Gun” start. A 30 minute group clinic will precede the round, approximately 45 minutes prior to the scheduled tee time. The group clinic will be on a first come/first served basis and will be limited to 15 participants.

Each player will be pre-assigned a golf cart and playing partners. The foursomes will consist of two men and two women. Although the golf carts will initially be set-up with two men and two women riding together, it will be up to each group to decide if they would like to rearrange the configuration.

Social Event

A low key social event will take place in the clubhouse immediately following the golf event. The emphasis will be on having an enjoyable experience meeting others in an informal environment. Hot and cold hors d’oeuvres will be served and are included in the registration fee. A “No Host” bar will also be available. The social event will last approximately one hour, depending on the dynamics of the group. Participants will be encouraged to mingle and meet other players. Who knows? You may meet someone new that has a common interest beyond golf.

Prizes

Exciting prizes will be awarded during the post golf social gathering. The prizes will be awarded based upon a combination of skill on the golf course and by random chance. You must be present to win a prize. Prizes will be awarded for the following:

? Closest to the hole on Par 3 (Women)
? 1st Door Prize
? 2nd Door Prize
? 3rd Door Prize

How do I sign up for the event?

First, you must register electronically via the web site: www.singlesonthegreen.com. Second, if you do not already have a PayPal account, you must register and pay utilizing this online resource. This easy method of payment is being utilized for your financial security. Once you have completed steps one and two, you will receive an email with your confirmation number, date and time of the event, and directions to the event from Singles on the Green. Please be aware that there will be no refunds after you have registered. However, it is acceptable for you to send a substitute if you are not able to participate. Please try to find a person who will replace you that is of the same gender, as there should be an even number of men and women participating.

How do I get directions to the golf course?

For your convenience, the aforementioned web site includes an icon for Map Quest. Simply click on the icon to receive specific driving instructions to the golf course. Please note the address and telephone number of the golf course will be included in the email message confirming your registration.
